Madeline's First Dr Appt
Madeline's first visit to the doctor went great! She's now at 8lbs, 1.5 oz, which is a little down from her birth weight, but not too significant. She's doing great overall! It's amazing how much Cooper and her look alike at this age.

More Birthday Celebrations in Peoria!
Cooper and I headed to Peoria, IL to start our summer vacation in IA/IL. We survived our plane ride, even though Cooper decided he wasn't going to take a nap! But, as soon as we got to Scott & Paige's house, he was out like a light. After a big nap, all of the Cavanah family got together to celebrate both Cooper and Ruth's birthdays. Cooper of course was 1 on July 3rd and Ruth turned 3 yesterday on July 4th. Cooper loved being with his Cavanah cousins! Elizabeth (11) and Nick (8), which are Andy (my oldest brother) and his wife, Nicole's kids and Ruth (3) who is Scott (my older brother) and Paige's daughter. Scott and Paige are expecting their second child in September. Can't wait to meet the newest Cavanah!

First Birthday Cake!
This was our first attempt at making Cooper a birthday cake. I baked and Mac decorated! We had fun making it together as a family.
Naked boy, getting ready for his cake. He's so excited! For what, he has no idea. But, being almost naked sure is fun!
Okay, not quite sure what is going on.. not really digging this weird, really big bib.
Hmmm..... why are they singing?
What IS this????
Not so happy....
Mommy stuck her fork in and showed me that there was cake inside! Yummy!
Must...eat...it...all!
Family pose. Really, Cooper just wants to eat his cake! :)
Mission complete! Well, almost. We didn't really let him eat the whole thing, but he would have! I think he liked it. :)
Cooper and his farm...more birthday
The theme for Cooper's first birthday ended up being the Farm. Seems like most of his gifts centered around the Farm. Cooper loved it all, especially the big red/yellow barn that Grandma brought him.
Even Daddy wanted to play, but didn't quite fit through the barn.
Cooper is 1!
Can't believe our little guy is 1 already! What a year it has been.... We have loved watching our little guy change, grow, and become such a happy, fun little boy. Here are his official stats...
Cooper 1 year stats:
Weight: 28 lbs, 7 oz (95 %ile)
Height: 32 inches (95 %ile)
Happy Birthday Cooper! We love you!
We spent his actually birth day opening presents, playing with new toys, baking and decorating his cake, and celebrating! Cooper loved his cake and wanted to eat it all. :)
The cats were very interested in Cooper's presents.
He just wanted to eat the sheep!

Fun at Busy Bodies Gym
I have loved being at home with Cooper this summer. This month we have been doing lots of fun things...swimming; taking walks; going to the mall; playdates with his friend, Brody and his Mommy (Lauren); playing at the splash pad; swinging at the park; going out for ice cream/frozen yogurt; music/story time at the library with his friend, Sara and her Mommy (Cheri); KinderMusik with his friend Cole and his Mommy (Denise); and the Busy Bodies Gym also with Cole and Denise. We have been busy, but I have relished every minute. I'm just trying to soak it all in....

He really loved the trampoline as well, even though he doesn't look all that excited here. I would bounce him and he would just laugh and laugh, those deep belly laugh that babies do-love it!
